This hockey agility drill is designed to work out your leg and core muscles, as well as the tendons in your body. Training at a level equal to your game intensity will benefit you by improving your performance and minimizing your susceptibility to injuries.
In this video, we are going to work on our hip flexors to improve our ability to change direction quickly on the ice. We will start on one side and step over one whole hurdle gap. Next we will take that strider step over that last cone and accelerate with high knee back to the starting position. We are going to be working on our reaction time, always building quickness. It is important not to reach too far from the original cross over and always remember to work towards maintaining that great centre. Taking strider steps, drive your knees up quickly back to the beginning finish up with 10 sets to the left and then to the right.
