How to: improve your ball handling
3 great basketball dribbling drills to help improve your handles:
1.) two ball stationary dribbling
With this drill It helps you to improve both hands at the same time. Many people have that one dominant hand. This drill helps you to continue to keep that hand dominant and improve the weaker hand. Make sure as you do this drill that you stay low, keep your head up and bound the ball as hard as you can..it's ok if you lose the ball it shows that you are pounding the ball and soon would be able to apply them on the court.. When you get comfortable with stationary dribble go ahead and add some movement so you can translate it to a real game situation..
2.) two ball alternating stationary dribble
Same as the two ball stationary dribbling. This drill helps to work on both hands at an alternating rotation. Remember to continue to stay low, eye forward and pounding the ball.. And as you get comfortable add some movement with it…
This drills will help improve your basketball crossover to be more effective in games. The keys to this drill is being explosive with each dribble and move. And as you get comfortable add some movement with it..
