Plyometrics training focuses on learning to move from a muscle extension to a contraction in a rapid or "explosive" way to improve explosive power. This trainig allows the athlete to jump upward as high as possible. That is way been used for decades in basketball, volleyball, footbal, martial arts and athletics.

In bodybuilding it is colaborating to bring a more linear and ripped legs.

Note that plyometrics can only be performed by well-conditioned individuals who are under supervision of a trainer coach. Good levels of physical strength, flexibility, and proprioception should be achieved before commencement of plyometric training.
